Gazprom to finish talks on financing of Amur gas refinery 2019

ÇàâîäMOSCOW, Dec 20 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom plans to finish talks with potential creditors on project financing of the Amur gas refinery at the end of 2019, Deputy CEO Famil Sadygov told the company’s corporate magazine in an interview released on Friday.

“Presently, various terms of project financing are being negotiated with the potential creditors of the Amur gas refinery. The planned deadline to complete the negotiations is the end of 2019… The target level of borrowed financing is 70%, and own investment will come to 30%,” he said.

Sadygov added that the talks are private and that interest of international banks to the project tops the requirements.

The launch of two debut production lines at the Amur gas refinery is scheduled for April 2021 and of the third line for December 2021. All six lines planned now will be commissioned by December 2024, and the plant’s production capacity will amount to 38 billion cubic meters of methane, 2 million tonnes of ethane, 1.7 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, and 60 million cubic meters of helium.

Sadygov also said that Gazprom is working on the financing structure for the Ust-Luga gas refining facility with participation of Russian and foreign banks.

In March, Gazprom said it plans to build a 13 million tonne liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in the Leningrad Region’s town of Ust-Luga together with RusGasDobycha. The first stage of the complex is slated for the launch in the second half of 2023 and the second stage until the end of 2024.
