Microsoft to preset Yandex search in Windows 10 browsers

MOSCOW, Oct 13 (PRIME) -- Corporation Microsoft and Russian Internet giant Yandex have signed a cooperation agreement under which Microsoft will preset Yandex’s search engine in Windows 10 browsers, the two companies said in a joint statement Thursday.

The agreement will cover Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Turkey and several other countries. Yandex will also become the home page in browsers Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer in these countries.

“The new agreement is a logical step in the development of our well-established partnership with Microsoft affirming the high quality of our products,” Arkady Volozh, CEO of Yandex, said.
