Medvedev says Russian economic situation “quite problematic”

Medvedev23GORKI, Jan 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s economic situation is “quite problematic” Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Monday and called on the government to solve all issues quickly.

“Let’s be honest -- the economic situation is quite problematic. That is why, as we have agreed, all government members must hold meetings in the fields, which are in their competence, quickly,” he said adding that the meetings must be held regularly and in a “manual mode” when required.

“Report to me personally about all problems that occur, and adjust statutory acts as we have already agreed,” he told his deputies.

Medvedev will hold several meetings on Russia’s economic development and recent economic problems this week, he said.
