Ministry: Russia’s car production rises by 10% in January–October

MOSCOW, Nov 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s output of cars of all types increased by more than 10% on the year to 567,000 vehicles in January–October, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Albert Karimov said on Monday during a session of the parliament’s upper house Federation Council.

“In January–October, or in the first 10 months of the year, 567,000 cars were produced, which is higher than the figures of the same 10 months of the previous year by 10%,” he said.

A ministry representative pointed out to PRIME later that the figure comprises production of all types of vehicles including cars, trucks, light commercial vehicles, and buses.
