Customs: Russias trade surplus rises 28% to $116 bln JanNov 17

  MOSCOW, Jan 12 (PRIME) -- Russias trade surplus grew 27.6% on the year to U.S. $116.1 billion in JanuaryNovember 2017, the Federal Customs Service said in a statement on Friday.

Exports increased 25.5% on the year to $321 billion in 2017 and imports rose 24.3% to $205 billion. The external trade turnover gained 25% to $526 billion.

Energy increased to 64.5% in JanuaryNovember from 62.4% in the same period of 2016 in Russian exports to non-CIS countries. The share of metals and metal products rose to 10.1% from 9.9%.

Cars and transport equipment accounted for 51.5% of Russias imports from non-CIS states in the period, up from 49.9% last year.
