Rosneft plans to draw strategic partners to Pechora LNG project

Роснефть06MOSCOW, Jun 29 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft plans to attract strategic partners to the Pechora liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, Vice President Vlada Rusakova told PRIME on Thursday.

A feasibility study of the project has been completed in 2017.

The company also plans to develop a Dalnevostochny LNG facility and some projects in Venezuela and Mozambique.

The executive said that her company is in talks with the government of Mozambique on binding agreements to develop three shelf gas fields in the African state, for which a consortium of Rosneft and ExxonMobil won licenses in 2015. The two firms intend to initiate geological survey at the fields in July-December, Rosneft said in its 2016 report.

In Venezuela, Rosneft and local PDVSA plan to implement a large-scale project including LNG production at the Patao, Rio Caribe and Mejillones shelf fields.

Rosneft is also considering different options to sell gas produced at the Brazil-based Solimoes field and simultaneously it continues geological exploration there.
