Gazprom’s IFRS net profit up fivefold to 787.1 bln rbl 2015

MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian gas giant Gazprom, calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), surged to 787.1 billion rubles in 2015 against 159 billion rubles in 2014, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Sales revenue rose 8.66% to 6.073 trillion rubles and the net debt increased 26.2% to 2.083 trillion rubles in the period.

Gazprom’s net revenue from gas sales went up 15% to 3.427 trillion rubles: its net revenue from domestic gas sales contracted 2% to 805.615 billion rubles, net revenue from gas sales to CIS countries grew 4% to 429.66 billion rubles and from gas sales to non-CIS countries rose 24% to 2.165 trillion rubles.

Operating expenses increased 18% to 4.635 trillion rubles in the period.

Capital expenditures grew 10.1% to 1.344 trillion rubles, including 220.2 billion rubles in gas production, 324.3 billion rubles in production of oil and gas condensate, 420.8 billion rubles in transportation of hydrocarbons, 26.962 billion rubles in the field of gas supplies and 48.48 billion rubles in gas storage.

As seen in a Gazprom’s IFRS report, the company took a U.S. $165 million loan from top Russian lender Sberbank in January. The interest rate amounted to 4.9%.
