MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- New banknotes with a face value of 200 rubles and 2,000 rubles will start circulation in October, the central bank’s First Deputy Chairman Georgy Luntovsky told reporters on Thursday.
“We will approve the final design sometime in July. One of the banknotes will be made in an improved version. We plan to apply new materials, polymer treatment in order to extend the life cycle of the banknotes,” Luntovsky said.
