Putin says global competition to rise, warns of unfair rivals
MOSCOW, Feb 9 (PRIME) -- New technologies are changing the global economy and international competition will only strengthen triggering unfair practices, President Vladimir Putin told a meeting of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Friday.
УWe need to say that a new technological wave is seriously changing the landscape of the global economy, this is the main thing. To put it in other words, the cards are being dealt anew. Principally new frameworks of goods and services will be formed, new leaders will emerge and naturally, competition will get tougher,Ф Putin said.
УAny forms of pressure, any forms of competitive struggle can take place.Ф
Putin said that policies of artificial restrictions in international business relations are a losing battle and result in direct losses of all participants.
УWhen talking to colleagues from other states I see that they share this point of view,Ф he said.
Putin said that accelerated economic development is priority for the future because other spheres, including the social welfare cannot improve without economic progress.
The Russian authorities will purge the economy from everything that stops progress.
УI assure you that we are in a very serious, decisive mood to purge everything that does not allow us to move ahead. We count on the effect from this work to be invested here,Ф Putin said.
The Russian tax system must be stable and effective for business to thrive, he also said.
