Russia to prepare proposals to boost energy exports to China soon
ST. PETERSBURG, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- Russia will prepare proposals to increase oil and natural gas exports to China by the end of March, when its President Xi Jinping visits Moscow, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters Friday.
“We are now working on the matter, we are preparing proposals for Xi Jinping’s visit and his meeting here with the president,” Novak said.
Novak said that hydrocarbon supplies to China may be increased via the Skovorodino-Mohe route, rather than through Kazakhstan. The Skovorodino-Mohe pipeline passes under the Amur River, and has a capacity of 15 million tonnes of oil per year.
