AEB: Russian car, LCV sales rise 10.1% to 167,494 units in Nov
MOSCOW, Dec 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) rose 10.1% on the year to 167,494 vehicles in November, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said in a statement on Thursday.
In January–November, sales of cars and LCVs rose 13.7% to 1.625 million units.
“Total car market sales continue to demonstrate robust momentum in November. As commented on before, we can expect a similar strong performance in December, as customers are rushing to take advantage of year-end price deals including the still valid VAT rate,” AEB said quoting Joerg Schreiber, chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee.
Sales of Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ grew 15% on the year to 33,663 cars in November and 16% to 324,797 units in January–November.
