ALROSA sees diamond sales in Vladivostok at over $80 mln 2018

MOSCOW, Mar 20 (PRIME) -- Russian uncut diamond giant ALROSA plans to sell over U.S. $80 million worth of rough and polish diamonds at auctions at the Eurasian Diamond Center in Vladivostok in 2018, Yury Okoyomov, deputy CEO for sales, told reporters on Tuesday.

УI think that this year we will sell more products there than in 2017. It was at $72 million (in 2017). I believe this year we will have over $80 million there,Ф he said.

Okoyomov also said ALROSA plans to launch online sales of diamonds in 2018.

У(The website) will start operating soon. I think we will launch it this year. We have already developed a platform, correspondingly, we are currently solving issues connected with logistics,Ф he said.

УWe do not want our website to operate only on the domestic market, we would like to have a possibility of sales to foreign customers as well. There are purely technical issues connected with logistics, which need to be solved. And there are issues of relevant marketing content, support of this website.Ф
