Antitrust says to consider conditions of ALROSAТs gas asset sale
ANOSINO VILLAGE, Moscow Region, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- The Federal Antimonopoly Service will study conditions of an auction of natural gas assets of uncut diamond mining giant ALROSA and request additional information about complaints of oil major Rosneft, the serviceТs Director Igor Artemyev told reporters on Wednesday.
УWe will study conditions of the auction. We will also request specific complaints of Rosneft in this regard,Ф Artemyev said.
RosneftТs press secretary Mikhail Leontyev said in December 2017 that the company filed a request to the antimonopoly service to participate in the auction as well as a complaint about its conditions.
The oil company also applied to the Federal State Property Management Agency and the Finance Ministry asking to change the conditions because they violate the competition law and create advantages for some possible contenders.
Artemyev also said that media reports about the auction and complaints of Rosneft are enough for the service to start an investigation. УI think reports are enough for us to do it, in addition to complaints with specific documents. Everything will be checked,Ф he said.
The service received RosneftТs complaint on Tuesday.
ALROSA plans to hold the auction on February 19, 2018, and set the initial price at 30 billion rubles for a single lot comprising 100% in Maretiom Investments Limited and Velarion Investments Limited, which own 100% in Geotransgaz and in Urengoi Gas Company.
