Cbank to transfer 1.05 tln rbl from Sberbank sale to budget by Jun
MOSCOW, Apr 20 (PRIME) -- RussiaТs central bank will transfer 1.05 trillion rubles from the sale of a controlling stake in top lender Sberbank to the budget by June 1, according to a government ruling released on Monday.
УTo establish that cash and claim rights ... are transferred to the federal budget and transferred to the treasury of the Russian Federation: until June 1, 2020 Ц in cash in the amount of 1.050 trillion rubles and in the form of claim rights up to 500.45 billion rubles,Ф the document said.
The remaining funds are to be transferred to the budget by December 1, 2023.
On April 9, the Finance Ministry closed a deal to buy the central bankТs stake in Sberbank for 2.139 trillion rubles. The government has already received 50% in Sberbank, while one share still remains with the central bank. The regulator explained this is necessary for signing of a shareholder agreement between the government and the central bank that is expected to be signed by May 10.
