Gazprom books no capacity for gas transit via Poland for Friday

MOSCOW, Feb 3 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom did not book capacities of the YamalЦEurope pipeline for gas transit across Poland for Friday, auction platform GSA Platform said on Thursday.

The company was to book 89.1 million cubic meters on the entrance to Poland, one of GazpromТs key routes to Europe, but it did not. Gazprom has so far booked no capacities for February.

The Yamal-Europe pipeline, along with Nord Stream and UkraineТs gas transportation system, is one of the key routes for Russian gas delivery to Europe. The 2,000-kilometer pipeline runs through Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany and can pump 33 billion cubic meters of gas a year.

A long-term contract between Gazprom and Poland on transit via the Yamal-Europe pipeline ended in 2020, and Gazprom started booking capacity at auctions.
