MOSCOW, Aug 30 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom expects an average export price for its natural gas in Europe to fall by about 13% to U.S. $215 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2019, Mikhail Malgin, a deputy director of a department at Gazprom Export, said in a conference call late on Thursday.

When asked whether he could confirm that Gazprom expected an average annual price to amount to $215 per 1,000 cubic meters, he said, “Yes, I can confirm that this is the level of price that we expect at the end of 2019.”

In 2018, Gazprom’s average export price for gas rose 23% on the year to $264.4 per 1,000 cubic meters, but it fell 13% on the year to $208 in April–June 2019.
