Min says 50% RussiaТs per capita GDP rise goal attainable
MOSCOW, Mar 1 (PRIME) Ц The goal of raising RussiaТs per capita gross domestic product (GDP) by 50% by the middle of the next decade set by President Vladimir Putin in his ThursdayТs speech to legislators is challenging but attainable, Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin told reporters on Thursday.
УThis is an ambitious goal, a difficult one but we will pursue it. We must reach so that the country could satisfy all social requirements, the infrastructure development requirements, the defense capacity,Ф Oreshkin said.
The minister also said that mortgage rates will continue to decrease but at a slower rate than in 2017.
After the presidential elections, the government will probably decide whether to raise the retirement age as life expectancy grows, Oreshkin said.
