Minister doesn’t rule out unemployment can fall further

MOSCOW, Apr 7 (PRIME) -- Russia’s level of unemployment will remain low for a long time, and new record lows can be achieved, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said at a forum on Friday.

“We will have to work in the condition of a difficult and tough labor market. It is clear that it will be tough for the employers. We indeed have a record low level of unemployment, and new lows can be demonstrated later, but anyway we can say that the low unemployment level will last for long,” he said.

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, unemployment fell to 3.5% in February.
