Ministry may raise minimum price for vodka bottle to 230 rbl
MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- RussiaТs Finance Ministry is considering raising the minimum retail price for a 0.5-liter bottle of vodka to 230 rubles from 215 rubles, Alexei Sazanov, head of the ministryТs tax and customs policy department, told reporters on Thursday.
УOur calculations show that 230 rubles would be enough. We suggest 230 rubles, while a decision will be made by (Finance Minister) Anton Germanovich (Siluanov). It should be done starting from next year, in the foreseeable future,Ф he said.
The suggestion of the Kizlyar Brandy Factory to raise the minimum retail price for brandy to 450 rubles per 0.5-liter bottle from 388 rubles is excessive, the price should stand at no more than 420Ц430 rubles, he said.
