Ministry pays 8.5 bln rbl coupon of 2028 Eurobonds in rubles

MOSCOW, Jun 24 (PRIME) -- The Finance Ministry has paid 8.5 billion rubles, or an equivalent of U.S. $159.4 million in interest on Russia’s 2028 Eurobonds, to the National Settlement Depository, the ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The ministry sold the $2.5 billion Eurobond in 1998. The government switched into a new order of compliance with the liabilities on Eurobonds on Wednesday.
