Norilsk Nickel nickel output falls 9% to 49,460 tns in Apr–Jun
MOSCOW, Jul 31 (PRIME) -- The nickel output of Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel fell 9% on the quarter to 49,460 tonnes in April–June, the company said on Tuesday.
Copper output rose 4% on the quarter to 117,275 tonnes in the period.
In January–June, the company’s nickel output rose 1% on the year to 103,523 tonnes. Copper output increased 18% to 229,565 tonnes. Palladium production increased 5% to 1.396 million ounces and platinum output grew 5% to 335,000 ounces.
The company also confirmed its 2018 production guidance from its own raw materials.
