Official: RUSAL mulls building wheel disk plant in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- Russian aluminum giant UC RUSAL is discussing construction of a wheel disk plant in Uzbekistan, Vladislav Vasilyev, director of the Industry and Trade Ministry’s department for metallurgy and materials, said during the Innoprom. Central Asia industrial exhibition on Wednesday.

“The RUSAL group of companies … is discussing the issue of establishing a joint venture (in Uzbekistan) for production of aluminum solid disks for the car industry,” he said.

The plant’s products will be highly popular in the country and the company may even export it, he said.
