Putin: Russia must stimulate demand amid sanctions

MOSCOW, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- Sanctions can hurt Russia's economy, which is why the authorities must stimulate demand, President Vladimir Putin told the government on Wednesday.

"The illegitimate restrictions introduced against the Russian economy may indeed affect it negatively in the medium term,” Putin said.

“In this context, we must ensure a stable increase of local demand."
