Putin says Russia to invest 1 tln rbl in drones industry
MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- The unmanned aircraft vehicle industry is the most important and very promising direction of Russia’s activities, where 1 trillion rubles will be invested, President Vladimir Putin said late on Thursday.
“It is the most important vector of the country’s activities, highly promising…the volume is set at 500 billion (rubles) soon, but I was supported immediately, that this is a conservative estimation, more likely, if we work together, and the government will get engaged, it will reach 1 trillion rubles,” Putin said during a presentation of companies working in the industry of unmanned aircraft systems.
There is not a single activity or sphere of the economy where drones cannot be used. Besides, the industry improves Russia’s competitiveness, the president said.
“If we want structural changes, and we want them, certainly, we should concentrate all efforts on development of the industry,” he added.
Putin also said that he agreed with Chinese leader Xi Jinping to exchange high-technological information.
“So, we recently met with the counterpart from China, we spoke very frankly in many areas and agreed that we should complement each other there, especially and particularly in technological industries where some of us are seeking some kind of progress, exchange this information technologically and help the market develop,” Putin said.
Everything will be done. “Not the slightest doubt is possible. At the government’s level, we should elaborate tools of export support,” he added.
