Report: France allows Framatome to build Paks-2 reactors
PARIS, Apr 28 (PRIME) – France’s Ministry of Ecological Transition has allowed companies, including Framatome to participate in construction of two reactors of the Paks-2 nuclear power plant in Hungary with Russia's Rosatom, newspaper Le Monde reported late on Thursday citing people close to Minister Agnes Pannier-Runacher.
"French nuclear industry players support our European partners, and in particular Hungary, in all their efforts and in all the projects on their soil as long as they strictly respect the European framework of international sanctions," the newspaper reported.
According to an earlier statement by Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, the German government did not allow Siemens, participant of a consortium with Framatome, to supply equipment for Paks-2.
