Report: Russia's Megapolis may buy local Imperial Brands business

MOSCOW, Apr 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian business of U.K. tobacco producer Imperial Brands may be sold to Cigar House Fortuna, a joint venture between Megapolis of Igor Kesayev, Sergei Katsiyev and a Ukrainian businessmen Vitaly Belous, business daily Kommersant reported late on Thursday citing two market sources.

Imperial Tobacco, part of the Imperial Brands holding, said on Wednesday that it had passed the Russian business to local investors and was waiting for clearance by the Russian authorities.
