MOSCOW, Feb 22 (PRIME) -- RussiansТ individual inflation rose to 1.6% in January, compared with 0.3% calculated by the Federal State Statistics Service, as seen by PRIME in research company RomirТs report on Thursday.

Experts said that the rise was linked with a usual price revision at the beginning of a year and a 4-15% growth in prices for fruit and vegetables, a 5.8% increase in prices for alcoholic drinks, a 5.9% rise in cigarettes prices, and a 3.5% drugs inflation against December.
