Russia’s Norilsk Nickel dismantles old nickel plant early
MOSCOW, Aug 26 (PRIME) -- Russian metals producer Norilsk Nickel has stopped its oldest nickel facility in Norilsk two months ahead of schedule, the company said in a statement on Friday.
The plant was launched in 1942 and is now located within the limits of the city of Norilsk. Its dismantlement began in February.
Norilsk Nickel said that it plans to maintain the overall output level by extending output of other plants, Kola GMK and Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta.
