Russia’s Norilsk Nickel to spend 18 bln rbl on modernization

MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel plans to spend over 18 billion rubles to introduce a new technology of nickel refining at its unit Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company (Kola MMC) in the Murmansk Region, Norilsk Nickel said in a statement Wednesday.

The project will allow the company to reduce operating expenditures and metals losses in the production process and increase the quality of products, Norilsk Nickel said.
