MOSCOW, Feb 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s top bank Sberbank plans to raise the interest rates on all deposits starting from Tuesday with the maximum rate on the ruble deposits amounting to 18%, on the U.S. dollar deposits to 5%, and on the euro deposits to 3.5% annually, the bank said in a statement on Monday.

Earlier in the day, the central bank raised the key rate from 9.5% to a historic high of 20%. The previous record was an increase to 17% in December 2014 for about seven weeks.
