Service: Russia’s beer sales shrink by 3.6% in January–March

MOSCOW, Apr 27 (PRIME) – Russia’s retail sales of beer and beer beverages shrank by 3.6% on the year to 164.527 million decaliters in January–March, as seen by PRIME on Thursday in the materials of the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation.

But the sales of cider, perry, and mead rose by 27.6% on the year to 2.051 million decaliters.

Production of beer and beer beverages increased by 1% to 176.194 million decaliters, and the output of cider, perry, and mead grew by 24.5% to 2.138 million decaliters.

The output of alcoholic beverages, excluding beer, beer beverages, cider, perry, and mead gained 0.1% to 38.477 million decaliters, according to the service.
