Source: No exact terms of grain deal extension under discussion

ANKARA, May 5 (PRIME) -- Participants of the grain deal are currently not discussing specific terms for extending its validity, it is about eliminating existing problems, a source familiar with the matter told PRIME on Friday.

“No timeline is being discussed now, this is media fabrication, now the issue of removing problems for the smooth operation of the mechanism is under discussion, in particular, you know, removing obstacles to the export of Russian products, here we are talking about insurance, access to ports, payment,” the source said.

Technical delegations at Istanbul meeting on Friday will discuss U.N. Secretary General's grain deal initiatives, the source also said.

On Thursday, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the meeting of the technical delegations will take place on Friday.
