TotalEnergies to continue LNG exports from Yamal LNG

MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- FranceТs TotalEnergies plans to continue exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from RussiaТs Yamal LNG project as long as the sanctions allow that to happen, CEO Patrick Pouyanne said in a conference call on Thursday.

УOur activity in Russia is in fact concentrated around the supplies from Yamal LNG that are still important for the E.U., and we will continue fulfilling our contract liabilities as long as the sanctions allow for that to happen,Ф he said.

Russian independent gas producer Novatek and its contractors should say whether the Arctic LNG 2 project, in which TotalEnergies has a 10% stake, will be finished, he said.

TotalEnergies said on March 22 that it would gradually suspend operations in Russia and investment in the Russian projects like the Arctic LNG 2. The company owns a 19.4% stake in Novatek, a 20% stake in Yamal LNG, 49% in joint venture Terneftegaz, and 10% in the transshipment terminals in Murmansk and the Kamchatka Region.
