MOSCOW, Apr 11 (PRIME) -- Russia has no grounds to lift the restrictions from Twitter, which has not deleted 1,300 banned materials, the communications service said late on Monday in a statement.
“The Russian users do not lack opportunities to get information and communicate thanks to the popular national social services that show active growth of the audience, development of their functions, educational and entertaining content,” the authority said.
“There is no reason to lift the restrictions from the foreign services now.”
The forbidden materials that Twitter still keeps contain not only children’s pornography, drugs and suicidal content, buy also calls for participation in massive riots, and messages of extremist organizations.
