Yandex says sets up new business group Plus and Fintech

MOSCOW, Jun 24 (PRIME) -- Russian Internet company Yandex has set up business group Plus and Fintech, which comprises KinoPoisk, Yandex Music, Yandex Afisha, and Yandex Plus as well as its fintech projects, the company said on Friday in a statement.

“These services have similar business solutions and common goals: they all tie up Yandex’s key services with cross-cutting scenarios – for example, Plus provides advantages in different services,” Yandex said.

The merger will help the company develop the services of the business group in a centralized manner, and its units will find it easier to create joint products under common management.

The business group will be headed by Yandex General Director Artyom Savinovsky, who will combine the two positions. The fintech projects will be run by Dmitry Pirogov.

Yandex also has two business groups – Search, Advertising, and Cloud Services as well as E-com and Ridetech.
