Ministries offer to halt tax deals with all unfriendly states

MOSCOW, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- The Finance and Foreign Ministries have suggested suspending double taxation avoidance agreements with all states that introduced sanctions against Russia, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Unilateral introduction of restrictive measures is violation of the international law norms. This means that Russia has grounds to introduce retaliatory measures," the initiative said suggesting suspension of tax deals until Russia's rights are recovered.

According to the Finance Ministry, if the initiative is supported, a reduced and zero tax on the profit subject to double taxation avoidance agreements will be suspended at the moment of issuance of the presidential decree.
