Putin calls for incentives for firms investing in Far East
VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 10 (PRIME) -- The Russian government should create incentives for companies that are ready to invest in projects in the countryТs Far East and support specialists that are ready to move there, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the State Council Monday.
He said over 50 billion rubles will be allocated until 2020 for economic development centers in the Far Eastern regions, where additional social infrastructure will be built.
УWe have large-scale construction ahead. ItТs importantЕ to create incentives for work of companies that are capable of solving responsible government tasks,Ф the president said.
People are moving from the Far East, because they are not satisfied with living conditions in the region, he said.
УPeople are not satisfied with todayТs conditions for life. The Far East is still behind, there are still many problems,Ф Putin said ordering a report on measures to eliminate the backlog of social and economic development of the Far East.
The government continues to take measures to make air transportation of citizens of the Far East more affordable.
УWe have been building systems of inexpensive subsidized air routes in the Far East for several years. Of course, not all the problems have been solved, but still many people have already felt certain changes. We need to continue to systematically organize the available air transportation on other passenger routes in the Far East,Ф Putin said.
