Cbank promises to discuss stricter mortgage rules with banks
MOSCOW, Nov 27 (PRIME) -- The central bank will discuss with the Russian banks tightening of mortgage rules depending on the size of a debt burden, Director of the regulatorТs Financial Stability Department Yelizaveta Danilova said on Wednesday.
УPresently, the premiums (for risk ratios) are used only for unsecured loans, because it is in this segment that we saw accumulation of systemic risks. But we can also see differentiation of risks and the level of debt burden in the mortgage segment tooЕ That is why we plan to consult with the banking community on the future mortgage premiums as well,Ф she said.
Danilova also said that the central bank sees no such risks in the car loaning segment yet.
Russian banks and microfinancial organizations must calculate the maximum debt burden when issuing a credit to an individual since October 1. The debt burden for credits of over 10,000 rubles is calculated as a ratio of monthly credit payments to a monthly income of the borrower.
