PRESS: Mamut to sell firm developing Hamleys chain in Russia
MOSCOW, Nov 27 (PRIME) -- Owners of Ideas4Retail, 90% owned by Alexander MamutТs companies, which develops Hamleys toy chain and Cookhouse kitchen appliances stores in Russia, have put their business up for sale, Kommersant business daily reported Wednesday citing a presentation for potential investors.
The owners would prefer to sell the business to one buyer, but are ready to consider a separate sale of the two chains as well, the presentation said.
In Russia, Hamleys manages nine stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi with a total area of over 21,500 square meters. In 2019, the chain earned 1.78 billion rubles in Russia.
Cookhouse is the own brand of Indeas4Retail, which comprises eight stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This year, the chain is expected to receive a revenue of 198 million rubles.
