MOSCOW, Nov 15 (PRIME) -- RussiaТs Finance Ministry has suggested raising the minimal price for spirits including vodka and brandy from January 1, 2022, according to a bill released on the state portal for legal information on Monday.
The price for vodka will be increased 7.4% to 261 rubles for a 0.5-liter bottle from the present 243 rubles, and the price for brandy to 480 rubles from 446 rubles, respectively.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that a rise in prices for alcoholic drinks is a matter of economic viability.
