Trade union: AvtoVAZ to go on downtime next week

MOSCOW, May 12 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer AvtoVAZ will put its employees on downtime for the entire next week, the trade union of the company said on Thursday on its page in the VK social network.

"Due to the lack of components, an order on downtime on AvtoVAZ was signed from May 16 until May 20, 2022," the statement read.

The facilities of the car maker have announced downtime multiple times earlier this year and changed the dates of the corporate vacations to April 4–24 from summer.
