Putin says risks of investment in Russian econ decline seriously

MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) -- The risks of investment in the Russian economy have seriously declined, President Vladimir Putin said at a government meeting on investment activityon Thursday.

"Thanks to a goal-oriented economic policy, we have managed to prevent a drop in investment activity. The risks of investment in the Russian economy have seriously decreased. It is our utmost goal to make the investment environment more predictable and stable," Putin said.

The president called for providing systemic support for investment projects of the local business, providing access to financial resources and raising federal and regional spending on construction of infrastructure.

"Let me remind you that we must develop the entire range of financial instruments. To make not only loans, but also bonds more comfortable, affordable. By the way, last year, the Russian companies placed a record amount of bonds. We have to create additional conditions for shareholder capital attraction on the Russian markets," Putin said.

Putin asked to start compensating the regions for the income lost due to tax deductions on investment of companies as soon as possible.

He also said that the Russian exporters will finish 2021 with good financial results and must invest in development of the Russian economy.
