US removes VSMPO-Avisma from list of export restrictions

MOSCOW, Jan 15 (PRIME) -- The U.S. has removed Russian titanium giant VSMPO-Avisma from the list of end military users subject to supply restrictions, the Department of Commerce reported on Friday.

On December 22, the Department of Commerce presented a list of the first 58 Chinese and 45 Russian companies, including VSMPO-Avisma, that were banned from exporting U.S. technologies to the military end-users.

The list of Russian entities also included the Defense Ministry, Admiralty Shipyard, Federal State Budgetary Enterprise of the Administration of the President of Russia, aircraft producer Irkut, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Rocket and Space Centre Progress, arms exporter Rosoboronexport, Russian Helicopters, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, United Engine Corporation, units of nuclear power corporation Rosatom, and state industrial corporation Rostec.
