Russian antitrust received bid of Fortum for 20.5% in Uniper
MOSCOW, Oct 8 (PRIME) -- RussiaТs Federal Antimonopoly Service has received a bid of FinlandТs Fortum for 20.5% in GermanyТs Uniper, a spokesperson for the service told PRIME on Tuesday.

Earlier on the day, Fortum said it had agreed with funds Elliott and Knight Vinke to buy more than 20.5% in Uniper. The sum of the deal is supposed to amount to 2.3 billion euros, with FortumТs stake in the company rising to more than 70.5%.
In September 2018, the serviceТs Director Igor Artemyev said that RussiaТs legislation on foreign investment into strategic industries does not allow Fortum to buy more than 50% in any strategic assets, and one of water services company owned by Uniper has that status.
