MOSCOW, Jul 22 (PRIME) -- China's Xiaomi ranked first by the phone sales in Russia in June, outperforming Samsung, according to the figures provided by the retailers on Thursday.
MTS store chain said that Xiaomi held a 31.2% share in the sales, while Samsung 29.8%. Apple ranked third with a 14.5% share, and Realme fourth with 4.6%. Xiaomi's subbrand Poco was the fifth with a 3.8% share. Apple was the top seller in monetary terms.
M.Video-Eldorado's official confirmed Xiaomi's leadership, "In June, Xiaomi was the leader by the volume of sales, including subbrand Poco, while Samsung led in the first half of the year and in the second quarter. Apple, Realme and Honor entered the top five of most popular brands besides Xiaomi and Samsung," the official said.
He added that Xiaomi has a well-balanced product range and good bargains. Besides, it has become popular.
M.Video-Eldorado estimates the Russian smartphone market at about 300 billion rubles in January–June, 30% more than a year ago in the same period.
