MOSCOW, Mar 26 (PRIME) -- Russian wireline operator Central Telegraph plans to set domestic tariffs on telegraph services in Crimea on April 3, the company said in a statement Wednesday.
As a result, the price of telegrams sent between Russia and its new regions – the republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol – will fall about 90%, Central Telegraph said.
Earlier in March President Vladimir Putin signed a law to ratify the treaty on accession of the republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol to Russia.
Communications minister Nikolai Nikiforov said that Russian mobile operators will soon start providing services to households and companies in the Crimean peninsula without roaming tariffs, business daily Vedomosti reported.
Russian communications regulators will also assign an 869 dialing code to Sevastopol and the rest of the peninsula will receive a 365 code, Nikiforov said.
